Welcome Letter - JFK

Dear Families,

We are so excited to welcome you back for the 2024-2025 school year! With the first day of school quickly approaching, I ask that you please review the information below so that you and your child can have a great start to the new year! A summary of need-to-know information is listed below, but more details can be accessed digitally by clicking here.

LOCATION: 107 Gross Street, Kingston, NY. Our morning arrival entrance for students is at the back of the building – enter JFK campus using Old Orchard Street.

DROP-OFF: Students should be dropped off at the back entrance. You can park in the back parking lot and walk your child to the back door, or they can exit from the passenger side of your car in our Drop Off Lane. If students are having breakfast, they can be dropped off beginning at 8:30. Students not having breakfast will be let inside at 8:45. Our back doors are locked at 8:55 for the start of school. Late students must be signed in at the front door beginning at 8:55.

PICK-UP: Walker/family pick up dismissal will begin immediately following bus dismissal around 3:00. Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd Grade dismiss on the blacktop. 3rd & 4th Grade dismiss by the large parking lot on the Gross Street side of JFK.

BREAKFAST & LUNCH: Free for all students! Breakfast will be served in the cafeteria starting at 8:30 each morning. Each day students will have the choice of hot lunch or a variety of sandwiches.

ABSENCES: If your child is absent, please be sure to send them in with an excuse note when they return to school. If your child is late to school, you must sign them in at the front door.
